Darius Rucker is riding high on the charts again.

The former Hootie & the Blowfish frontman currently sits at No. 1 with “If I Told You,” the first single from his fifth country album due out later this year and eighth country chart-topper. “I love this time in country music,” he says through his publicist. “It’s so wide in range and to have this song – a ballad and one I’ve loved and related to since first hearing the work-tape – is pretty incredible.”

Darius performed the song live from Nashville on NBC’s Today last week (6/7) as Music City prepped for the 2017 CMT Music Awards. Check that out, and get to up-to-speed on his recent work with Ply Green and Habitat for Humanity, which helped provide new homes to a couple of deserving families. Watch below and look for Darius on the road in the coming weeks in California, Wisconsin, Michigan, Deleware, Washington and Colorado.
