Calista, a lovely brown brindle of mixed breed, is 3 years old, spayed and weighs 38 pounds. She arrived in early May and the staff has noticed improvements in her behavior due to the care and attention that volunteers and staff have given her. She has been out in groups with dogs many times and this interaction has been helpful in getting her to be more friendly toward other dogs, and has helped to lower her stress level. She does not show aggression when walking past other dogs, eases up with verbal cues, is sensitive to handlers and responds to special pressure. Handlers have found her to be friendly, likes attention, is a bit wiggly. Calista is doing so much better and we feel she will make a good companion. She's one of our VIP dogs which means her adoption is free and you only need to pay the mandatory $10 CMPD pet licensing fee. A visit to the kennels to meet Calista may turn out to be the best visit you ever made.
