I remember when I was a small boy and movies like "The Deer Hunter" and "Coming Home" were received with critical acclaim and public praise for the realism portrayed in how vets reintegrated into society from the Vietnam War.

I didn't understand it, but my parents seemed genuinely moved by what they saw.

Perhaps, "Thank You For Your Service" will be one of those for my generation. This film follows a group of U.S. soldiers returning from Iraq who struggle to fit back into family and civilian life, while living with the memories of the war and what they've seen threatens to take them out thousands of miles from the battlefield they've left.

Starring an ensemble cast led by Miles Teller (pictured above), Haley Bennett, Amy Schumer, Joe Cole, Beulah Koale, Scott Haze, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Brad Beyer, Omar J. Dorsey and Jayson Warner Smith, the drama is based on the bestselling book by Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter and author David Finkel.

It Opens October 27.
