Rascal Flatts‘ 2004 hit “Bless The Broken Road” is played regularly at weddings around the globe, and the plan was to do the same at one in Oshkosh, WI recently. That’s when Rascal Flatts walked in.

The surprise was arranged by a family friend, who’s also a member in good standing of the Rascal Flatts fan club. Just as the pair were preparing for their first dance at the small country wedding, in walked Gary LeVox, Joe Don Rooney and Jay Demarcus to do the honors in person.

“We’re only like an hour away from that wedding, so we’re going to go over there and crash Sara and Brandon’s wedding,” Gary explains from the back of an SUV en route to the event.

“The cool thing is [it’s] their wedding song, and they were going to dance to this song anyway,” Joe Don adds. “But now we’re going to play it live for them.”

Watch the incredible moment unfold in a video posted to the trio’s social media pages below.
