Pool Horror?

So, a movie that we’ve REALLY been looking forward to is “47 Meters Down” due out next month. It’s a shark thriller, and well…we’re ALL ABOUT shark thrillers. With that…

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – SEPTEMBER 17: (EDITORS NOTE: Vignetting caused by underwater housing.) Syrian refugee Ibrahim Al Hussein swims during a practice session for media in a training pool during the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games at Olympic Park on September 17, 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The swimmer lost part of his leg during a rocket attack in war-torn Syria as he was trying to save a friend injured in a bombing nearby. He fled the war to Turkey and eventually boarded a rubber dinghy to cross the Aegean Sea to Greece, where he currently resides. Al Hussein competed in the men’s 50 meter and 100 meter freestyle swimming contests during the Games. (Photo by Mario Tama/Getty Images)

So, a movie that we've REALLY been looking forward to is "47 Meters Down" due out next month. It's a shark thriller, and well...we're ALL ABOUT shark thrillers.

With that frame of reference on YouTube today I came across a trailer for a movie called "12 Meters Deep." Immediately I think this is a parody and I can't wait to watch.

The first few seconds with ominous music and showing lane ropes in a pool...I'll admit, I was laughing. HOWEVER, this is a legit horror thriller.

I don't know how scary being trapped in a pool can be, but I did see a name in the credits that can cause concern: Tobin Bell, ie the villain of the "Saw" franchise...
