Fans of Nashville were devastated after learning ABC had canceled the series after four seasons, however, the show was given life again after CMT decided to continue the series on their network.

Sadly, all good things must eventually come to an end.

CMT recently announced that the last season of Nashville will air in 2018.

In a press release published on the Country Rebel website, the executive producer, Marshall Herskovitz, said the cast is so appreciative of the shows loyal fans and is also thankful CMT gave the cast another chance. He added that the last season will celebrate all of the highlights that made Nashville a fan favorite.

The final season will air on January 4, 2018, and will consist of 16 episodes. The last show will air over the summer.

Let's find the way back home. Come and find me. #NashvilleCMT: The Final Season. New episodes start Thursday, January 4 on @CMT.
