ABC claims Alex Bowen, of West Columbia, South Carolina, recently cooked his own meal at a Waffle House. The 36 year-old got drunk with friends at a bar before stopping at his local Waffle House on the way home. Alex stood by himself at a register for 10 minutes waiting for someone to take his order. When no one did, he slipped behind the counter and made a Texas bacon cheesesteak melt. Alex cleaned up after himself before noticing the lone Waffle House employee was sleeping. Alex came back the next day and paid for his meal before a Waffle House district manager offered him a job as a secret shopper.
