Luke Combs is a big fan of Tracy Lawrence, so-much-so that the country legend was worthy of a drunk dial.

It’s true. In an interview with Rare Country, Combs confessed that he once phoned Lawrence at 3 a.m. while drinking with some of his buddies.

As Combs explains, he and a few pals were listening to some of Lawrence’s music.

While he admitted he shouldn’t have called Lawrence, especially at that hour (and wouldn’t do it again) we have to say it does make for a pretty humorous story.

To add to the story, Combs said Lawrence called him back the next day, and asked if everything was okay.

At that point, Combs explained that he and a few friends were talking about how cool Lawrence is and that he had consumed a couple of beers prior to phoning him.

Recently, Combs joined Lawrence for a remake of “If The World Had A Front Porch.”

It’s definitely worth a listen!
