When you wake up in the morning and look for something to eat, what’s the one thing you reach for?  Something healthy right?  After all its the first thing you put in your body all day, so it better be good for you.  So is it Cereal or Pizza?

Well according to a dietitian that spoke with the Chicago Tribune, it seems that an average slice of pizza and a bowl of cereal, with milk, have about the same amount of calories.  But…. Pizza macks a much longer protein punch which will keep you satisfied and full throughout the morning.  Plus it contains more fat, but less sugar than most cereals.  So you won’t have to deal with that crash about mid morning!

Next time anyone fusses me about having a slice of cold pizza from Johnny Bruscos in the morning, I’ll just have to tell them that science told me too!
