This Sunday on ABC is The Academy Awards and you can bet you are going to be assaulted by commercials for upcoming summer movies. Perhaps there is not one with more interest behind it than "Solo: A Star Wars Story."

This is the "origin story" of Han Solo-made famous in 4 of the "Star Wars" films by Harrison Ford. Production was troubled to say the least as the director was replaced more than half way through shooting with acclaimed filmmaker, Ron Howard.

According to some reports, MASSIVE story changes and reshoots resulted. Most of the time, this spells doom for a movie, however "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" had VERY similar issues, and it was both a critical and financial success. So, we'll see.

"Solo: A Star Wars Story" opens here in the US on May 25, and here is the official synopsis and latest international trailer.

"Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in Solo: A Star Wars Story, an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes."
