Then came a modern remake in movie form (1998) starring William Hurt and Matt LeBlAnc.
Now comes a new, modern take from Netflix! For those unfamiliar with the common premise of all of these, here's the deal. In general, think "Swiss Family Robinson" in space.
Specifically, here's the offical premise and trailer:
The Robinson family, part of a highly trained mission to establish a new colony in space, is unexpectedly pulled off course forcing them to crash land on a lost planet. Danger will find them. Lost in Space premieres April 13, 2018.
