There are a couple of really big differences between my son and me. Number one, I work in the field of country music radio. Country music has fed, clothed, and housed him his entire life.

He hates country music.

Number two?

He ADORES horror/slasher movies. This genre has just never done it for me. I need more story and less blood. We are in agreement on one movie in this genre though..."Halloween."

The John Carpenter original starring Jamie Lee Curtis in 1978 is an absolute classic. And even though the Rob Zombie-directed "re-imagining" of the tale was more visceral, I still enjoyed it.

Now, there is a "new" sequel to the original movie, some forty years later. It's due out October 19th, and this trailer is the scariest thing I've ever seen as a movie teaser.

Can't wait!
