Godzilla Returns!

Admittedly, my movie tastes are bizarrely eclectic. I love a great thriller-even if it’s old and in black and white (“Psycho”). I love a trememdous story and saga. In fact,…

TOKYO, JAPAN – APRIL 15: A 12 meter tall Godzilla replica head is seen through a ninth floor hotel room window at the Hotel Gracery Shinjuku on April 15, 2015 in Tokyo, Japan. The Godzilla replica, based on the original 1954 film is the main attraction of a new commercial complex containing a movie theatre, hotel and restaurants situated in the Kabukicho, red light district of Shinjuku and will be opened on April 17th. Along with the replica head the hotel also has six Godzilla view rooms with windows looking directly onto Godzilla, and one Godzilla themed room containing a man-sized Godzilla statue as well as a large Godzilla claw over the beds. Admittedly, my movie tastes are bizarrely eclectic.

I love a great thriller-even if it's old and in black and white ("Psycho").

I love a trememdous story and saga. In fact, perhaps my most favorite movie is "The Godfather" and "The Godfather Part II." (I know, I know, but I count them as one movie as it's a continuation of a story)

I love "James Bond" movies.

I love "Superhero" movies.

I love documentaries.

And I LOVE "monster" movies.

Any and all "King Kong" movies..."vampire" movies...and yes, "Godzilla" movies. Shoot, I even love the classic "Godzilla" movies that were all over-dubbed from Japan with the cheesiest of effects involving men in bad constumes.

Luckily, a few years ago, we had a modern, American-take on "Godzilla." And it was just a really fun movie. Now...we get a sequel next summer.

Unveiled at last weekend's San Diego Comic-Con, here's the first look at "Gozilla: King of the Monsters."
