UPDATE: Lowe's donated a brand new riding lawn mower to the boy!
A 9-year-old boy was robbed at gunpoint by a teenager with a BB Gun in Union County on Saturday.
“I’ve never heard of a lemonade stand robbery,” said Tony Underwood, Union County Sheriff’s Office chief communications officer. “You know, I think people are capable of a lot of things but not robbing a child at a lemonade stand. That one takes it to a new level.”
After hearing the news, the neighborhood came together to raise money for the little boy. The money will go towards a new lawn mower for him so he can move forward with his landscaping and lawn mowing business.
