There are really very few TV shows that are made for guys.

Some of those that have come and gone include: “24,” “The Shield,” “Sons of Anarchy,” and “Justified.” All had good runs, but like I said…they’re gone.

One solid “guy” show remains though…Showtime’s “Ray Donovan,” starring the BRILLIANT Liev Schreiber. Ray Donovan is a Hollywood “fixer.” He’s the guy that gets the call when someone like Demi Levato overdoses and her people want to keep it out of the media that anything happened at all.

Anyway, at the end of last season, season five, Ray’s life was somewhat in shambles and he was last seen jumping into New York’s East River. According to the official synopsis, that’s where we pick things up…

“As season six of Ray Donovan begins, we find Ray (Schreiber) rebuilding his life both personally and professionally in New York City. After being rescued from a plummet into the East River, his savior, a cop named Mac (Domenick Lombardozzi), brings Ray into the fraternity that is the Staten Island Police Department. While exploring this new world of brotherhood and corruption, Ray finds himself once again working for media mogul Sam Winslow (Susan Sarandon). Sam has teamed up with New York City mayoral candidate Anita Novak (Lola Glaudini), a partnership that puts Ray at odds with his new friends out in Staten Island.”

“Ray Donovan” returns on October 28.
