Were we not JUST having this conversation a couple of days ago with the show "Maniac" coming to Netflix?  I mean, it seems like every time I turn around I'm finding ANOTHER show on either Netflix or Amazon that I'm ALL IN on.

Guy Pierce ("Momento," "Snowpiercer") stars in this new series from Netflix called "The Innocents."

Now, full disclosure,  I'm a GEEK for cool science fiction.  And if you are not, then perhaps this is not gonna be your cup of tea (see my wife Debbie-who would just as soon have her head slammed in the door as to spend one more second sitting through the sci-fi that our son and I love).

Here's the official synopsis:

"June McDaniel has a major change in her life when she discovers that she comes from a line of shapeshifters on her mother’s side. She will have to wrestle with the choice of going on a journey to discover more about her mother and how her shapeshifting ability works and that of staying with her boyfriend Harry who has been by her side through it all. Who can she trust as she embarks on her journey? Remember what you see is not what you see in the world of The Innocents."

"The Innocents" is available for streaming in just a couple of weeks on August 24.
