This is Missy, Tanner's wife, and I would like to share something special with you that has really impacted our lives in the last few years.
My cousin, David Wine, is a missionary in Haiti. His work started years ago, when he went to Haiti to set up a tent for evangelistic work, and his life has never been the same.
One night, when he was setting up a tent, it started to rain, and he heard moans and cries that he thought was some sort of animal. He said it sounded like sheep being led to the slaughter. But it wasn't animals, it was children. These children were living on the streets and had nowhere to go in the rain.
This experience changed the course of David's life. He began to take steps to start an orphanage. He started with a boys home, and in the last year has added a girl's home, and recently opened a home for disabled children.
He currently has 36 boys, 21 girls, and 1 special needs child with another one coming soon. He spends most of his life in Haiti, and goes back to Florida 2-3 times per year to do fundraising.
The orphanage is run completely on donations. We consider these children our children too. We've been invested in this ministry since the beginning. One thing I can say with 100% assurance, is that every single donation is put into the care of these children. I'm also adding a link to their website, so that you can see the faces of these beautiful kids. God has turned their sorrow into joy, and you can see it all over their faces. http://www.blackandwhiteforjesusministries.org
