When it comes to musical biopics for every "Buddy Holly Story," or "Coal Miner's Daughter," there are twenty "Sweet Dreams" (Patsy Cline story).  Most of them are cringeworthy.  And you can usually tell from the trailers.

For example, EVERYONE I've talked to that has seen the trailers for "Bohemian Rhapsody" (the story of Freddie Mercury and Queen) has been universal in their anticipation.

Now, I knew there was a planned movie about Elton John (pictured above with Lady Gaga), but I was unaware "Rocketman" was even in production until I saw this teaser yesterday.

I don't know if it's the way the character looks or the fact that Taron Egerton ("Kingsmen") is actually going to do his own singing (and it's HARD to be Elton John in that respect), but this just doesn't look good.

To me.

Check it out...

"Rocketman" is due next summer.
