Brad Paisley and his wife, actress Kimberly Williams Paisley, are giving back in a unique way for those in need of help during hard times. The Paisley’s have teamed up with Belmont University to create, “The Store.”

While visiting Santa Barbara, California during the Thanksgiving holiday, Kim thought that the couple’s children were acting spoiled so the family volunteered at a local food pantry called “Unity Shoppe” that allowed people to shop in a grocery store atmosphere and get the food they need for free.

“This is a grocery store with dignity for people who have fallen on hard times,” said Paisley,  “All of us are one unforeseen disaster away from rock bottom. It’s nice to think about a place where when that happens to someone, they can use it to get back on their feet.”

“The Store” is located next to Belmont University’s Ministry Center and will have non-perishable and fresh food available. Customers will be referred to “The Store” by community organizations and can get assistance for up to a year.
