So my hubby gifted me last Christmas with one of the new trendy kitchen gadgets called "InstantPot." It is basically an electric pressure cooker, plus some other features including a slow cooker mode.
I have only used a few of the functions it's capable of so far. But, it has been so much fun exploring new methods and new recipes. I am sharing one today that I found as part of an online community of people just like me swapping ideas and dishes. This recipe could also be easily made on stovetop if you don't have this appliance. I hope you enjoy it!
Ingredients:
1 pound lean ground beef
1 packet instant onion soup mix
1 (24 oz.) jar pasta sauce
12 oz beef broth
8 oz pasta shells
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. salt and dash of pepper
shredded mozzerella cheese
Directions:
Saute ground beef. Season with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Add in soup mix, pasta sauce, water and beef broth. Toss shells into pot submerging them. Close pot, make sure lever is set to sealing. Pressure cook for 4 minutes. Quick release. Remove lid and toss in cheese.
If making on stovetop, boil pasta seperately and toss in with cheese after sauce has simmered a few minutes. Decrease water and beef broth by about half.
