Just yesterday I read of plans for a movie re-boot of the television show, "Fantasy Island."

The original was a staple of the ABC lineup for Saturday nights from 1978-1984. It starred Ricardo Montalbon as "Mr. Roarke," a mysterious man who ran an island where literally your dreams could come true. His assistant was, as we would say now, a "vertically challenged" man named "Tattoo," played by Herve Villechaize.

Herve had achieved initial fame for his portrayal of "Knick Knack" in the James Bond movie, "The Man With The Golden Gun."

He was legendary for his womanizing and partying. Eventually, this spiraled out of control leading to his suicide in 1994. Anyway, there is a movie coming out on HBO on the 20th chronicling the last days of his life called, "My Dinner With Herve."  It stars Peter Dinklage ("Game of Thrones" pictured above) and Jamie Dornan ("50 Shades of Grey").

Here's the trailer.
