When I first got into this whole country music disc jockey business in Texas, in 1990, there were a couple of absolutes:

1. You HAD to play George Strait AT LEAST once an hour
2. Any song that Alabama released was going to number one

Alabama ONLY had 40 number one songs (and depending on the chart you believe-as many as 21 in a row). You can try to argue successful groups in country music all you want, but the second one mentions "Alabama," the discussion is over.

They are the one, that's the list.

We'd already announced that the legendary group was playing CCMF coming up this summer, but now they've released plans for an official "50th Anniversary Tour" in 2019.

It will kick off on January 10th and feature Charlie Daniels Band, Marshall Tucker Band, Oak Ridge Boys, Restless Heart, Chris Janson, Tracy Lawrence and Exile on select dates.

HOW GREAT IS THAT?!

The first concert Debbie EVER attended as a little girl was Alabama.  As for me, when it comes to a personal Alabama memory, it's a song.

I think everyone has a favorite Alabama song, I've had a hard choice between four. What makes a song great for me is that when I hear them, vivid memories pop into mind. So, my choice came down to "Fallin' Again," "You've Got The Touch," "There's No Way," and this one.

"Then Again" was a single off their "Greatest Hits II" and reminds me of another time, when I was another person, with another girl. Her memory used to make me upset, but now it makes me smile. I wonder where she is now...

Here are the dates announced, but I've got a feeling there might be more added.
