I must admit, I've become more and more jaded about society and the goodness of people.  I know I shouldn't, but I just feel bombarded daily by tales of selfishness, rudeness, etc. from one person to another.

This one got me.

And has restored by faith.

Rachel Uretsky-Pratt is a 24-year-old elementary school teacher.  She posted a picture of a bag full of Lucky Charms marshmallows that one of her students had given her.

Pratt explains in the picture's caption that most of her kids receive free or reduced lunch so there is a financial burden in most of the kids' homes, and when she noticed that one of her students had picked all of the marshmallows out of her free breakfast cereal, she couldn’t believe it.

"This kiddo wanted to get [me] something so badly, but had nothing to give,” Pratt wrote.

True heartfelt generosity at the holidays.  And once again a lesson taught to the grown-ups by those WE are supposed to be positively influencing.

Giving when you have nothing...is everything.
