UPS Driver Saves Dog from Icy Pond
A UPS driver in Bozeman, Montana is getting kudos for saving a dog about to drown in an icy pond. Ryan Arens was delivering packages before Christmas when he heard a dog in distress.

When he got to the pond, he saw an older man in a rowboat trying to reach the canine. Arens said, "I stripped to my boxers and got the guy out of the boat. Then, I slid the boat out onto the ice, using it to distribute my weight. I shimmed out to where the ice was thin." He then fell into the ice. Arens was already wet so he swam to the dog. After the rescue, he took a shower and continued his route delivering 20 more packages. He wound up reuniting with the dog recently. The two-and-a-half-year-old Sadie seemed like she remembered her rescuer as she was excited to see him.
