Taking Dead Aim-The Best Thing You’ll See All Day

Wait, wait!  Before you go, "Oh this is just Charlie trying to pawn some golf video off on us," give me a second.

Pro athletes in general, and pro golfers in particular, take a lot of criticism for being "selfish millionaires."  I'm not gonna tell you that this is not the case for some...but not all.

Take for example, Gary Woodland, the defending champion at this week's Waste Management Open in Phoenix on the PGA Tour this week.  On Tuesday, during his practice round, he teamed with Special Olympics gave Amy Bockerstette a moment for a lifetime.

Amy has Down's syndrome, and she's a golfer.

In fact, she's the first person with Down's to receive a college athletics scholorship when she signed with Paradise Valley Community College last year. Before that, she was the first Arizona student with Down's to compete in the state high school playoffs, as a junior in high school.

Anyway, she met Gary Woodland and recent Sony Open Champion, Matt Kuchar on the raucous par 3, 16th hole's tee box (this hole's seating alone is more than 20K-pictured above).  What followed...was simply magic.

Woodland would later say of the moment, "by far the coolest thing I've ever experienced. ... I've never rooted so hard for somebody on a golf course."

I hope it restores your faith in people, their decency, and their potential the way it did for me.
