When we were growing up, here's the extent of late night TV:  "The Tonight Show w/Johnny Carson."  That's it, that's the list.

And not to disparage Johnny, he's a legend and for what he did he was great.  In college, David Letterman was MUST SEE.

However, late night TV today is populated with some of the most talented people on the planet.  James Cordon's "Late Show" on CBS is amazingly brave and original.

Jimmy Kimmel is Letterman for a new generation.

And Jimmy Fallon on the latest incarnation of "The Tonight Show" is as multi-talented a performer as we've ever had on TV.

The latest example of this?  Along with his house band, "The Roots," and "Weezer," Fallon dresses in 80s garb and tackles A-ha's "Take on Me"...using elementary school musical instruments.

Amazing!
