Normally, we try to avoid blogging about things of this nature, but this is evil that is so beyond description or comprehension (to us anyway), that it has to be done.
Police have made a second arrest in the case of a Cleveland County man accused of imprisoning a teenage girl to use as his sex slave. His accomplice? A woman. She was taken into custody Tuesday on suspicion of aiding and abetting David Wolfington.
Wolfington is the 57-year-old man who is accused of sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl-REPEATEDLY-while keeping her captive in his Kings Mountain home. According to police, not only did the woman know what was going on, but ALSO HELPED Wolfington abuse the child.
And let's be clear, 15-years-old is a child.
The woman is also facing charges of doing nothing to help ANOTHER girl (12-year-old) Wolfington kept locked in his basement.
Both are being held on a healthy bond. And look, I realize everyone is entitled to bond/their day in court, but in this case...do we have to?
Keep your eyes on your kids. They need us.
