Who could have turned down this huge role you may ask? The neurosurgeon would have been Rob Lowe!
He wrote about turning down the job in his 2014 memoir, but it recently came back up when he was on the podcast, WTF with Marc Maron. He said it probably cost him $70 million dollars but that it was "just money."
Even though he would have benefitted from doing the show, he says he has no regrets turning down the role.
