"Celebrate Mom" Winner #1, Sherry!

She was nominated by her daughter for some wonderful reasons!

Here is what Cecelia had to say about her mama bear:

"I will NEVER be able to thank my mom for everything she has done for my family and I, and still continues to do. My mom had 3 girls of her own, AND was a foster parent for a long number of years. She opened her home to any and every child in need. When my brother and I arrived, myself being just 2 years old, and my brother being 4, the social worker said we instantly ran up to them and gave them HUGE hugs. My mom tells me that was the moment she knew she wanted to adopt us and keep us forever. Along with my brother and I, she adopted 1 other boy. So she now has SIX kids! It takes someone with a HUGE and giving heart to do what she has done. She is 74 years old and STILL teaches kindergarten at the same elementary school I went to when I was little. Her health is deteriorating, but she has NEVER let it get in the way of doing what she loves. God knew exactly what I needed, and it was her. I can't imagine where I would be if I hadn't been sent to her house that day. She is one of the most selfless human beings I have ever met. She HATES material gifts, clothes shoes bags etc etc but one thing she LOVES is flowers! Our backyard is covered in flowers. She spends most of her weekends off in the backyard on the patio watering and planting flowers. If I could choose anyone that deserves something like this, it is my mom. I could go on and on about all the selfless acts she's done for everyone around her, but my story alone let's everyone know how giving of a person she is. I want her to know how appreciated she truly is, even if she isn't told enough."
