Because sunburn is not fun for anyone. We want you to be safe from the harsh UV. Here are some helpful tips to save your skin and still have fun in the QC.

  • Wear sunblock no matter where you are traveling to protect yourself and the kids from UV rays. Check the SPF depending on how much time you plan to spend in the sun that day.
  • Stay hydrated We all love soda and sports drinks when it’s hot, don’t forget the body needs WATER, WATER, WATER!
  • If you have an elderly family member or friend check in on them, this time of year can be most dangerous due to many not having a way to escape the heat.
  • You can make your own ice pack with 2 cups of water,1 cup of rubbing alcohol, and a couple of freezer bags. Make them ahead of time, freeze them, and if you’re planning a day outside keep them in the cooler and have a way to cool down always available.
