You might think green beans are an unusual dish to get excited about.  However, if you're looking for something to take a typical green veggie over the top bursting with freshness and flavor, this is the best dish I've had in a while! Let's just say, the only thing that stopped me from devouring them is...they were all gone!

Ingredients:

1 pound fresh green beans, washed and trimmed

1 Tablespoon toasted sesame oil

1 clove garlic, grated or minced

2 Tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce

2 Tablespoons sweet red chili sauce

1 Tablespoon sriracha sauce

Directions:

Bring a saucepan of water to a boil.  Cook green beans 3 minutes to crisp-tender.  Drain and plunge into a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking.  In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, chili sauce and sriracha.  In a saute pan over medium heat, toss together the sesame oil and garlic for about 30 seconds, just until fragrant.  Drain green beans and add them to the pan.  Stir to coat in oil and garlic.  Toss in the prepared sauce and coat everything well.  Allow to simmer a couple of minutes and sauce to thicken up.  Plate and sprinkle with sesame seeds to garnish if you like.
