Scandal In Debbie’s Hometown To Become Movie Starring Will Ferrell

It is a the punchline of too many Christmas jokes, but when it comes to success in the fruitcake business, Collin Street Bakery in Debbie’s hometown of Corsicana, Texas, is NO joke.
They are the largest producer of fruitcake in the world-churning out over 800,000 cakes (2 million pounds) a year. AND, have sold cakes to the Royal family and some family named “Royal” down the street.
Anyway, the business and the small town (MAYBE 20,000 people) were rocked by scandal in 2013 as former employee Sandy Jenkins was revealed to have embezzled nearly $17 million.
Well now, Debbie’s Hometown’s “Dirty Laundry” is about to be aired in a movie called “Fruitcake” starring Will Ferrell as Jenkins and Laura Dern as his wife, Kay.
I can’t wait.
