We've talked about it on the air. Shoot, we've even had entire phone topics making fun of it and laughing about it, but let me be clear, THERE IS NO PLACE FOR THIS!
It's bad enough to see major league baseball players set this example (see above picture), but on the LITTLE LEAGUE level (or lower!)...FROM PARENTS?!
I've seen some things at my son's golf tournaments from parents that made me cringe. However, there is nothing I've seen in person that makes me as queasy as this.
This was the way "grown ups" reacted to a 13-year-old umpires call at a baseball game featuring 7-year-olds.
7-YEAR-OLDS.
Their collective maturite DWARFS that of the parents who drove them to the game.
Several people were hurt in the fracas, with one person suffering serious injuries. Police have cited four people so far and are reviewing video for more information about the fight.
