SAN FRANCISCO - JULY 27: A Guinea Pigs sits in a basket at the San Francisco Animal Care and Control July 27, 2009 in San Francisco, California. Disney's new blockbuster film G-Force, which features computer generated Guinea Pigs that save the world, has animal activists worried that people will rush out to buy the small pet only to turn around and abandoned it soon after realizing that guinea pigs require an investment of time to care for them. They say one can never have too many pets, but this is going a bit far.

Police in Cary, North Carolina removed hundreds of pets from a home where they were living in unsanitary conditions.

Nearly 250 animals including dogs, cats, rats, guinea pigs, and turtles were removed from the home after neighbors complained about the rats getting out and damaging nearby properties.

One neighbor called it a “hoarding situation” with someone who “loves animals so much they just can’t limit their love”.
