Maybe it’s because the past couple of days have felt as if we’re hanging out on the surface of the planet Mercury, but just seeing snow in a movie trailer made me feel better.
The movie is called “Last Christmas” and is special on a couple of levels. First off, it stars Emilia Clarke (pictured above) in her first, big post-“Game of Thrones” role.
In it, she plays a young aspiring singer whose life has been influenced by George Michael’s music.

And there is special part 2: this movie features an unreleased song by the late pop star. According to Director, Paul Feig (“Bridesmaids”), “It’s a very celebratory song, I would dare say. And we were able to play the entire song, which is almost six minutes long, in the film.”
Last Christmas will be released in November. The new song was a part of an album that Michael was working on prior to his death.
