I don't know what it is, but it just seems within the last couple of years, if you can possibly flavor it with pumpkin, it gets flavored with pumpkin.
A staple of everyone's packed lunch when I was growing up was the classic Twinkie/Ding Dong/Cupcake.
Just thinking about the hardened chocolate icing on top of the Hostess Cupcakes makes my mouth water to this day. There was/is NO NEED to mess with this icon.
Well, here it is. Hostess is making a pumpkin version. Now don't confuse this with some pumpkin-spice cupcake.
It will be a pumpkin cupcake with vanilla frosting and the cupcake filling you love.
Other Fall flavors from the Hostess line include, Pumpkin Spice Twinkies and Caramel Crunch Donettes.
