SAN RAFAEL, CA - OCTOBER 30: A bucket of KFC Extra Crispy fried chicken is displayed October 30, 2006 in San Rafael, California. KFC is phasing out trans fats and plans to use zero trans fat soybean oil for cooking of their Original Recipe and Extra Crispy fried chicken as well as other menu items. KFC expects to have all of its 5,500 restaurants in the U.S. switched to the new oil by April 2007. (Photo Illustration by Justin Sullivan/Getty Images)

2019 may be known as the YEAR of the chicken sandwich. With all the hubbub about the now sold out Popeye’s chicken sandwich, chicken is now in the spotlight. Personally, I’m a Chick-Fil-A girl, but I’m not against any tasty sandwich.

Charlotte Agenda has also noticed all the press surrounding the chicken sandwich the last few months, and they compiled a list of the best ones to check out here in Charlotte.

I’ve only heard of a few of the places on their list, but you know I’m a “Golden Girl” and don’t get out much. I’ll say this, the pics of the sandwiches locally look seriously yummy. Looking at the pics will definitely make you hangry!

The King’s Kitchen sandwich, the Yafo sandwich, and the Eight & Sand sandwich are now on my list to try. The look is great!

Take a look at the list here so you can check some or all out. The sandwiches on the list will make you forget ALL about the Popeye’s/Chick-Fil-A debate. Happy eating!
