The North Stanly High School cheerleaders have been put on probation.  It's WHY they are on probation that is controversial.

You see, the squad posed in front of a Trump 2020 MAGA sign.

At first, school officials merely told them not to do that kind of thing again.  However, then North Carolina state high school officials got involved and have put the squad on probation for the remainder of the year.

Technically, this is correct as the squad was in uniform and campaign propaganda of any kind is not allowed on the sidelines of any game.

That being said, it just seems a bit much-especially when the sign in question IS for the current President of the United States.

The cheerleaders say they were just trying to show patriotism.  And I believe them.

A support rally is scheduled for this Friday night.
