Country Shunned By The NFL Again, But Not The CFL

Kenny Chesney, Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and George Strait.  Off the top of my head, these are artists who have enjoyed great success in country music…

Kenny Chesney, Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and George Strait.  Off the top of my head, these are artists who have enjoyed great success in country music and have sold out concerts in NFL stadiums.

You know who hasn't?

Shakira and Jennifer Lopez.

Guess who is playing halftime at the Super Bowl and who isn't.  I would LOVE the opportunity to talk with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and find out exactly what he has against country.  At this point, with each passing year, it becomes more and more insulting.

On a related note, The Canadian Football League has announced that Keith Urban will be performing during halftime of this year's Grey Cup.

The Grey Cup is the CFL's equivalent to the Super Bowl.

So "America's Music" is good enough for Canada, but not the United States?

Nice.
