If you're like me and you start dressing in black and putting up Halloween decorations the minute the calendar flips to October, Costco has a deal for you. The warehouse club has just put jumbo-sized pumpkins on sale at the bargain-basement price of only $5.99.

Better Homes & Gardens notes that depending on where you are, the price could be a dollar more, but that is still cheaper than most retailers and farms. Here's a tip for choosing a great pumpkin: a greener stem means a fresher pumpkin. And always carry from the bottom. Happy carving!
