I know you might find this hard to believe, and I would have too if I hadn't witnessed it first hand-TWICE-on a basketball court.

It never happened to me, but apparently you can get so focussed on "getting the ball" and scoring, that you lose your sense of direction.

A high school football player in California had to stop a teammate from turning what should have been a pick-six into a safety.

As you can see in the video below, Kha’Ron Thrower’s teammate intercepted a pass, then proceeded to run in the wrong direction.

If not for a quick thinking (and FAST) Kha’Ron Thrower, their opponent would have picked up two points for being intercepted.

In a way, you HAVE to feel for the kid.  It was his first career interception and he was just so excited that he forgot the direction his team was facing.

If is funny, tho.

And it will haunt him for the rest of his days.
