Truth be told, The Food Network is on a more continuous loop in our house than The Golf Channel (I know, hard to believe...but fact!).  So because of this, I see and hear way more of Giada DiLaurentis than I want to (I find her to be beyond annoying).

One of the things that drive me crazy about her is her claims of how her child loves to snack on vegetables and prefers them to chocolate/candy.  Let that sink in for a second.

Yeah, that vegetables over candy preference is uttered by no child-EVER!

I honestly believe that there are just some vegetables that your palate finds disgusting until you reach a certain age and maturity.

Take for example, broccoli.

Both Debbie and I used to GAG on broccoli and children.  Then we grew up, got married, fell deeply in love with Chinese food and the taste of broccoli.

Now we love it.

Our son, not so much.

See if this brings back memories.
