On Saturday nights in the late 70s and early 80s, the image above was a familiar one on ABC.  "Greetings, I am Mr. Roarke-your host. Welcome to Fantasy Island."

That line delivered by the late, Ricardo Montalban began an hour long adventure in which guests stars/B-List actors embarked on fantasy fulfillment.

It was easy, light-watching, and fun and made a star of the diminutive French actor, Herve Villechaize.

I had heard there was a new, movie-version of "Fantasy Island" being filmed and I was kinda pumped (as a kid, I loved this show).  However, after watching the trailer...this ain't my "Fantasy Island."

From the Blumhouse people, this version appears to deal with the nightmard that can come from having your fantasies fulfilled.

I know, right?  Scary.  "Fantasy Island" opens on Valentine's Day.
