There has been very few "rise and falls from grace" in show business that rival the one that has been endured by southern chef, Paula Deen.

At one time, she was EASILY the most popular draw and highest paid talen on The Food Network.  Her fans were numbered by the word "legions."

And then...there was controversy over the use of a racial slur, and it all came crashing down.

Still, she had her restaurants, "Paula Deen's Country Kitchen" franchises.  Now, those are going away.  Two of them in the Florida Panhandle have closed.   Her licensing parter decided to close her locations in Destin and Panama City Beach.

Two other restaurants in Fairview and San Antonio, Texas closed over the summer.

We've been to the original spot in Savannah, and every time we're at Myrtle there's a line outside the door to get in to her place there, but honestly...the food (from our experience) was just okay.

There was nothing wrong, it just wasn't "knock me out of our chairs" great that we were expecting.  You ever been to her restaurant?  What did you think?
