I saw this on Facebook yesterday afternoon, posted on Facebook by a former youth basketball coach of mine (not to paint with a broad brush, but why do older people fall prey so easily to this stuff?) and I thought, "Oh no..."

Before you click that link, give away your personal information, and share it with your unsuspecting friends, you should know... that it's a scam:  Costco says it is NOT behind a $75 coupon offer circulating online. The scam purports to offer $75 Costco coupons in honor of the retailer's anniversary.

What it really does is, you guessed it, try to get your personal information.

I can't make it any simpler than this:  when you see something online-especially on social media-that looks too good to be true, you can take it to the bank that it is.
