There are levels of bravery when it comes to competing on talent shows like "The Voice" and "American Idol." Just trying out is one level.
Getting over the fear of performing in front of a live audience is another.
Still another is singing in front of a live audience on national TV.
Then, there's doing the above...and taking on one of the most beloved songs in music history, The Eagle's "Desperado."
So, I gotta give it up to Jake Hoot from Kelly Clarkson's (pictured above) team this week. "Desperado" is one of those songs that Don Henley's iconic vocal is so ingrained in our psyche and so perfect, I would NEVER have the stones to touch it.
Well, he not only did that, but knocked it out of the park.
