When I see a story like this, I'm reminded of something Chris Rock once said when he was approached about starring in a "Sanford & Son" reboot.  He exclaimed, "Sanford & Son isn't a show, it's a man...Redd Foxx-and he's dead."

In other words, there are some things that should be left alone and not "rebooted."  No pun intended, but one of those in that "Left Alone" category is "Home Alone."

Look at that face.  "Home Alone" isn't a movie to me...it's a kid, McCauley Culkin.  And you can't reproduce that magic, right?

Well, leave it to Disney to try.

There's a reboot of the classic movie Home Alone coming to Disney+ and the cast has just been announced.  Variety reports that Ellie Kemper, Archie Yates, and Rob Delaney are on board.

Now in all fairness, while this is being called a reboot, the characters won't be the same as the film.  Archie Yates will be playing a new kid that's left alone while his family goes on a trip overseas.

Do you think it's a good idea to reboot Home Alone, or are you in my camp?
