Seriously, the guy has released seven singles and all seven have gone to number 1 on the charts. You know who else...IN THE HISTORY OF COUNTRY MUSIC has done that?
No one. Ever. Luke Combs is it, that's the list.
In 2019 alone, he holds down two of the top 5 spots in the song of the year category ("Beautful Crazy," and "Beer Never Broke My Heart")
Shoot even the songs that don't get released as singles you're listening to over and over again. In fact, it seems when it comes to songs and song quality, Combs is suffering from a problem called an "embarrassment of riches."
It's a good problem to have in this business.
Anyway, this leads to this song that our old boss put us on to the other night. Not only is it unreleased/unrecorded, it doesn't even have an official title. That being said, I can't stop playing it.
Will someone please explain to me how this song DOESN'T make the cut on an album?! Oh yeah, see that whole "embarrassment of riches" thing above.
