So Now We’re Loading The Dishwasher Wrong

When I first saw this today, two things popped into my mind: Okay, before I get to the distressing news, let me tell you I did a little research this…

When I first saw this today, two things popped into my mind:

  1.  I can't wait to tell my dad.  You see, the older my dad has become, the more obsessed with the dishwasher he's become.  I know...pray for us.  He got a new dishwasher about 10 years ago and REALLY doesn't believe anyone on the planet knows how to properly load it but him.  Over Thanksgiving, I BANNED him from my dishwasher because he was making me crazy.
  2.   I am sick and tired of being told that something I've been doing for years-successfully-is wrong

Okay, before I get to the distressing news, let me tell you I did a little research this moring.  I went to YouTube and searched "Properly Loading A Dishwasher."   I quit scrolling at four pages (plenty more), and laughed out loud.   Here's one from a couple of years ago on "The Rachel Ray Show"

And guess what, this video...and all the others...said NOTHING about this!

Researchers (University of Birmingham) have decided we're all idiots and that the trick to loading the diswasher is to load it in a circular fashion rather than in straight rows (I guess never mind that the dishwasher is laid out/designed in straight rows.  Wait, there's more.  You also need to group your dishes "by stain."  Carb-stained dishes to the middle, and protein-stained dishes placed in a ring around them-facing inward.

I'm not even going to bother sharing this with Debbie as I know what her answer will be.  "I don't care HOW YOU do it, I just want to SEE YOU do it!"
