Wait Mom, it gets better. The reason you should not make your bed is...wait for it...it is HEALTHIER for you not to do so.
A Kingston University study says that while an unmade bed may look scruffy and unappealing to Mom, it is also unpalatable to houst dust mites (that can cause asthma and other allergies). See, the bugcannot survive in the warm, dry conditions found in an unmade bed.
IKR, this is the dream for kids everywhere.
Here's a little more dust mite info than you really wanted to know: the average bed could be home to up to 1.5 million house dust mites. They are less than a millimeter long, feed on human skin scales, and produce allergens-easily inhaled during sleep.
So next time "she who rules the roost" admonishes, "MAKE YOUR BED!"
You just calmly respond, "But Mom...its bad for me."
